Head of HR
Our people are true subject matter experts. In particular, our vetting team is comprised of ex-mariners who understand the impact of their decisions and hold others to the same high level of accountability.
Taking a holistic approach to people and organisational culture, Kathryn Woolridge oversees RightShip’s global human resourcing operations.
After completing a Bachelor of Business, Kathryn commenced her career in superannuation and moved into human resources, initially with a distribution centre for Australia’s largest retailer.
Her early remit included recruitment, induction and training, then grew to accommodate injury and illness protocol. Later, Kathryn implemented this broad experience in senior roles with the company, developing strategic frameworks and talent management programs.
In 2012, Kathryn accepted an executive position with Defence Health and managed end-to-end HR services, processes and people practices. It was in this not-for-profit role, designed to support defence force personnel, that Kathryn saw opportunities to establish mental health and wellbeing programs for those working in high-risk positions.
Most recently, in 2019, while running her own firm, Kathryn joined RightShip in a consultant capacity. She has since accepted a permanent position which allows her to embrace a passion for managing cultural change and helping staff to reach their full potential. She’s dedicated to applying equitable gender practices across the business and supporting young women into leadership roles.
Kathryn is presently responsible for structuring RightShip’s Singapore team and driving the strategic planning of learning and development programs.
