There is always a fascinating story breaking in the maritime industry. It’s made up of some of the biggest and best personalities. From charterers to seafarers, I love working with everyone who contributes to this global community.
After completing her MA in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh, Claudia Norrgren sought to build a career inspired by her love of cultures and languages. Her life in shipping began at Lloyd’s List, the oldest newspaper in the world. The role provided the opportunity to understand all aspects of maritime news, from the spike in piracy attacks, to the rush to build eco-engines in 2012.
Later, Claudia moved to VesselsValue and learned how to use data to discover meaningful stories for global maritime media. She played a role setting up the company’s Singapore office and has relished the chance to expand her understanding of maritime media in Asia.
Joining RightShip in 2019, Claudia immediately embraced the opportunity to promote RightShip’s commitment to a positive maritime future. She drives the communication of the stories of our people, who are committed to protecting our oceans and supporting our seafarers.
Having worked with global media outlets including CNBC, Yahoo Finance, WSJ, Reuters, The New York Times and The Financial Times, Claudia has developed several opportunities to generate high profile exposure of the industry’s successes and challenges.
